I have experienced this for several years teaching in a high school. This year the January weather dealt with delays and no school days during exam week because of ice.

I think I would've done better on my exams if they were before winter break when I was in school.

I agree exams should be held before the Christmas Break. Thank you for always looking out for our students.

Kids should be able to complete the semester instead of having an extended break and have to refresh and then start new classes.

Taking exams before Christmas break would greatly benefit our students in so many ways! The knowledge would be fresh and the information we gain from scores would be more beneficial.

I am a high school teacher and I don’t care what it takes but we need to test before Christmas break.

If state legislators are truly concerned about the performance of students on EOC, NCFE, and CTE exams then the calendar would be altered so that students test prior to Christmas Break.

I have a high school student and still two more. It is far better for our students to take exams prior to Christmas break. I personally think that our tourism industry will be just fine with people going to beaches and the mountains during breaks. School systems need flexibility.

It is not what is best for students to be tested on material after having been out of the classroom where this material was presented for a 2 week period of time. Not only is there a gap in the learning of material, but there is also the chance of extended time away from the material because of inclement weather.

I am a NC educator and just about every year our exams get messed up because of weather. Please allow us to make our own choices regarding the school calendar so each location can account for snow days when planning their year.
