It's ridiculous that we have to nearly always pay higher taxes just because of a book that puts an overvalue on its vehicles and is a way to collect more money from all purchasers.

I've been ripped off by the government overcharging on sale that WERE fair market value, just not THEIR "fair market" value. I'm also tired of having taxes paid multiple times on the same item, making the tax revenue higher than the sale revenue over the vehicle's lifespan.

Tax should only be paid once on a vehicle, from new.The NB government continues to steal from the people time after time when a vehicle is sold, now they found a new way to steal...charge people tax on the full value of a vehicle...great idea, charge $1000 tax on a $200 car...theives...

Should be taxed on price paid as price paid reflects vehicles condition. We shouldn't be paying taxes on what the government feels it's worth.

Every time a vehicle is sold, taxes are paid. It's free money for the government.
By forcing us to pay tax on a greater value than what we've paid, we're all being treated as crooks.
The only logical reason to do that is to prevent us from paying $2000 and claiming we paid $500.
We're being treated as liars, and the honest people are suffering.

I purchased a 1994 Trans Am . Registered it at DMV . When I registered it the clerk said that the car was too old to be in any book . I paid the tax on what I paid on it . A month later I got a bill in the mail stating I owed them $1465.00 That the car was worth $13k . It does not matter what the car is worth it is what I paid for it . When you buy an item on sale say at Walmart for example the reg. price of the item is $1000.00 . Walmart has it on sale for $600.00 . You pay tax on the amount , $600.00 , Is the government there at the door at Walmart trying to collect the tax on the $400. you saved on . Unreal how this government is trying to seal from the tax payers of this province . I have not paid the tax the want and I am thinking about getting a lawyer to fight . Anyone else interested in getting in the fight ?
