Everywhere else i have lived, tax is on purchase price...it is outrageous and an absolute exploitation of NB citizens to be taxed in the manner service new brunswick has been doing.

OK. Was the gst introduce as a first time production tax? In so, is it elegal to charge it for a second time? I would donate $50 for a law suite agains SNB.

just another government grad for nothing. Lived in alberta for a while and in that province, a vehicule is taxed upon new purchase and never again, can be sold 50 times over and over and never taxed again

Yep bought a $500 car that needed some work to get it road legal. Got to pay around $350 in taxes on it

I will be moving back to NB this year and know that I will have a fight to register my vehicles without being gouged by SNB!!

A truck I paid 2400 was valued at over 5000.
We had to do paperwork to get some back.
