My naturopathic doctor supported me through my aortic valve replacement surgery and I attribute my speedy recovery to all the guidance and treatments she gave me before, during and after surgery.

The healt of our family has benefited in the use of tests done by our naturopathic doctor. To live without these lab tests would effect our health immensely for the worst.

People deserve and should have the option to participate fully in their own health care. Restricting ND's access to testing NOT provided by mainstream medical is a step in the wrong direction, unless the state actually WANTS to keep people ignorant of their choices.

As a Holistic Nutritionist- my clients rely on functional testing for their well being. By taking away our right to run tests, it'll jeopardize my clients' health and my business.

This Act, if enacted, is a violation of our rights as health practitioners, for offering legitimate, safe and effective services that we are trained for. Patients and consumers have a right to access these services, and pay for them out of their own pockets. Taking away these tests and services would be detrimental to human health and is unconstitutional. Taking away these tests and services limits an ND's ability to effectively treat patients, by not knowing for certain what nutritional deficiencies, endocrine abnormalities and heavy metals, for example, the patient is dealing with. These tests are not available through the regular OHIP channels and if they were the MDs are not trained in how to use them, or advise patients of what is needed. This makes no sense to remove these from the scope of ND practices. As a holistic nutritionist I rely on NDs to help my clients as well, as this is the only way to get these tests performed. Please, for the sake of all Ontarians, do not take away these services.

This is an outrage. Every person on this planet should have the right to choose. How can a group of people decide what can be allowed or taken away?! This is insane.

naturopaths are the highest trained primary care providers in assessing and restoring health. Much more than medical doctors. They are much more qualified to treat and heal. They deserve the fundamental right to access to all the same diagnostic testing as MDs.

NDs are part of our health care system and provide important care, prevention and testing support to their patients. As a patient, I deserve to be served by a ND who is able to access and send away for tests that provide critical information for my care.

I cannot find one good reason why these changes should be made. These tests allow for our ND's to prevent illness and aid in patient care . As an RHN these tests are VITAL in helping to aid in client care. Who will perform these tests if we no longer allow our NDs to? Certainly MDs do not know how to decipher the results accordingly. Shame on the government for making this choice.
