I visited Clearwater Aquarium many years ago and it was a truly heart warming place with people who seemed to genuinely love and want to help the animals. I went back after the Winter movie and was horrified by the change. It is true money does corrupt and it is the animals that suffer. I will not be watching the film or returning to Clearwater Aquarium unless things change.

Winter the dolphin with no tail has just been thrust into the limelight after the successful release of the movie Dolphin Tale. Because of her physical injury she is doomed to a life of tanks at Clearwater Aquarium in Florida. The Aquarium plans to build her a bigger tank with the usual white walls and nothing to stimulate her. Please sign the petition to demand that Clearwater give Winter a Natural Enclosure, with sandy bottom, fake corals and maybe even fish with toys and maybe even a bubble ring machine for her fun. Winter deserves better. The park will make a massive profit from the movie and from the increased amount of visitors who will descend on Winter after seeing the movie. Give her an ocean environment to live out her days in. You can see her current living conditions on www.seewinter.com, they are less then adequate for her. join us in negotiations to give her what she needs. Winter has a right to a live the rest of her life in peace and quiet and have plenty of room to move around in.
No person would want to be in a boring plain white room with nothing to play with. So why should dolphins/ orcas etc

We appreciate Winter couldn't live in the wild, but please stop exploiting her for profit. A bit of control and a more natural environment at least, and this should bring a happier less stressed animal.
