Winter the dolphin with no tail has just been thrust into the limelight after the successful release of the movie Dolphin Tale. Because of her physical injury she is doomed to a life of tanks at Clearwater Aquarium in Florida. The Aquarium plans to build her a bigger tank with the usual white walls and nothing to stimulate her. Please sign the petition to demand that Clearwater give Winter a Natural Enclosure, with sandy bottom, fake corals and maybe even fish with toys and maybe even a bubble ring machine for her fun. Winter deserves better. The park will make a massive profit from the movie and from the increased amount of visitors who will descend on Winter after seeing the movie. Give her an ocean environment to live out her days in. I run a whale watching company on Monterey Bay, and see wild dolphins frequently. Their lives in the wild are rich and interesting. Please give Winter what she deserves: an interesting, rich environment, not another plain concrete tank. Thank you.
We have this film and I am sick that Winter is still being kept in such a sterile environment. We wondered when we watched the film if things would improve for her and how much of life she really had. Now we know. Do better for her please!
Winter deserves as close to natural as possible. She needs normal mental stimulation and that does not include crowds and loud noises. She has made enough money for this aquarium to provide her with an appropriate habitat.
this is wrong on so many scales reminds me of free willy the only difference the money used for this film did go to help Keiko. the same should be applied to this poor dolphin, after all does he not deserve this?
Please give her a decent place to live!! It breaks my heart to see her in that horrible place filled with people, show and music. I know she can't be released but she can retire to a quiet seapen in natural water with other dolphins.

For Winter's peace and tranquility, they could have said no when Hollywood came calling. And they don't have to subject Winter to the loud music and noisy crowds for performances. They do not respect her need for a quiet environment.
