For the past 20 years the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan has been discriminating against its own people and true descendants of the Saginaw, Swan Creek and Black River Bands of Chippewa. This is being done by people who may not even be Chippewa Indians at all. In other words, we are being denied enrollment by people that should not even be holding office within the Saginaw Chippewa Tribal government. We demand a full and public disclosure of lineage and descedancy of the people running the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan. Furthermore, we demand that the true and rightful descendants of the Saginaw, Swan Creek and Black River bands as they have been certified by the Bureau of Indian Affairs, through the Docket 57 descendant entity roll be added to the Tribal Rolls immediately. We demand that the continuous terroristic threats of dis-enrollment and blood quantum dilution of enrolled members who are fighting for their relatives to be enrolled cease immediately. We demand that the appropriate agency (BIA) steps in immediately to right the wrongs that it has helped to perpetuate for so long. The original treaty which facilitated the establishment of Isabella Reservation was not intended for just a few chosen people, BUT for all descendants of the three bands of Chippewa who qualified under the BIA certification process.
