The scale of this response has reached the threshold where formal legislative outreach is now required. I am currently finalizing a briefing packet to present to the subcommittee on national observances.

its about time we recognize the real history of this land. way too many people just ignore what happened to the tribes. hope this gets passed soon.
LONG OVERDUE. we celebrate everyone else but the native people who were here first got nothing but bad treatment. fix it now.

This petition certainly need to get approved as the Indians of this Great NATION have suffered horrendous treatment from Mother Nature and certainly our Govnt. for running them off their lands and making them walk the long journey out West and out of Alabama. My heart bleeds for our Indians. Barry White, Rogersville, Al.
