Congressional Resolution for a National Creed
Our Founding Documents are rooted in the belief of a supreme being/existance. Wether you call this always existing entity Yahweh, Jehovah, God, Lord, Jesus, Allah or simply "Nature", "the Universe" or the "Eternal Nothingness" is your choice. However there are very few people that REALLY believe that our world came into existance from NOTHINGNESS.
This fact was the foundation for the principles underlying our Founding Documents, the Declaratioin of Independence and the United States Constitution.
We the under-signed therefore Petition the U. S. Congress to adopt, by a Joint Congressional Resolution, the following NATIONAL CREED taken from the wording of these documents.
"We, the people of the United States", (Constitution's Preamble) "hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inaniable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the persuit of happiness... And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance upon the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.( Declaration of Independance)

A Nationa Creed would help us retain a sense of the awareness that we are a nation of diverse races, national origins, ethnic cultures and religious beliefs, but still "one nation under God with liberty and justice for all."
