In principle, all people with disabilities have equal rights according to the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. These rights are further delineated in the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, which Canada signed in March 2010. Yet, in practical terms, there are many barriers which prevent people with disabilities from full and equal participation in Canadian life. We, the undersigned, are asking the Canadian Government to enact a National Accessibility Act which will ensure and enable full accessibility and equal participation to all people with disabilities in all Canadian provinces and territories.

my daughter uses a cane and everyday she faces barriers that shouldnt exist. totally support this.
its 2017 why is this still so hard for people. moving around the city is a nightmare for my brother in his chair. fix it.
LONG OVERDUE. tired of seeing buildings that arent accessible. do the right thing canada.
Seems like common sense. Equal access for everyone period.
Finally some movement on this. about time.

Everyday things like getting into a store or using transit shouldnt be a struggle. We need this law now.
