it is almost unbelievable how the commissioner is trying to take away this amazing opportunity for other explorers.

it's not fair that after ALL the hard work we put on training, they come and tell us that we need to cut the numbers. it's very unfair. The more people we have, the better.

i dont understand why take away explorers honestly i know that it kept me offf the street teens that are into this pogram put there heart and all in it please dont cut explorers #saveexplorers

We All Know Last National All You Heard Was New York In Every Category && Even If That Didnt Happen We Would Still Be The Target Of Nationals, We Need To Go In As Strong As Possible And That Wont Happen If We're Cutting The Numbers, That's Just Not Right

This is something every explorer should experience and I want to go.

We should find other ways to make our voice count, we need to send them emails or make phone calls. We have let them know how importance this is for us and how will this change affect us. If we all do our part as a team, we can achieve greatness. I'll be doing my part, and hopefully you guys will as well ! :D

Lets stick together as a department, we all deserve to go. We've worked extremely hard to get where we want to go. Keep it up, support each other.

We have trained for years to attend nationals and show how much we've learned. We should ALL be allowed the opportunity to attend.

As a captain in Post 2044 and this Nationals being my last as I age out in December 17, I am willing to sacrifice my last Nationals for the future of other eligible explorers. I am aware of the situation of the NYPD flying to Indiana, but also accepting the fact that there will be a cut of explorers to meet a specific amount of explorers that can attend. This is unfortunate and unacceptable because we are cutting explorers that are eligible. We are cutting eligible explorers, explorers that have trained for this upcoming Nationals. How cruel and unusual would it be for explorers that have worked to get to Nationals to be stripped of that opportunity. Driving to Indiana is a far distance and us explorers acknowledge that its a lot for our Post advisors. but our Advisors are willing to make the trip regardless of the distance. There are countless of teens that have join the exploring program for reasons they know why, but we have one thing in common: we love explorers!. If we allow explorers to be cut from this year's Nationals, how would that affect explorers. It would discourage, disappoint, and even confiscate all the industrial hours we have put into our individual post away from us. To the reader of this petition, take a deep look at the explorer program. see what is has done for many teens and how nationals plays a significant role in it all. Nationals is an opportunity for teens to experience the program in a grand way, to see life from a different vantage point, and opens our eyes to see that there are many more explorers just like us. Explorers are always competing in yearly competitions, but we are a family and love each other. So, cutting explorers is something we as explorers cannot accept and we ask that out petition is taken under consideration. Our plane tickets can be canceled because driving is how we are getting there and every eligible explorer should attend this year's Nationals.
