It's a real shame. Ireland is one of the wealthiest country in Europe, and cannot build and maintain a permanent full-size ice rink in each major city ...

Disappointed to hear there is no curling available in Ireland yet. Definitely nerds to happen.

I believe This project has huge potential and it would be an invaluable asset to Ireland both from a tourism point of view and the potential to provide a spitting outlet for the many nationalities living in ireland

I have recently bought a house in Iteland again on the Meath Cavan border, not far from Dundalk. Disappointing to hear there is no curling rink available in Ireland yet. Definitely nerds to happen.

I would absolutely love to play curling. Precision is key and I think it would be so amazing to be able to send an Irish Curling team to the olympics and other world competitions alike. We could be the Irish cool runnings.

Considering that Ireland is essentially in Northern Europe and subject to ice/snow conditions in late autumn and winter, it is surprising that there is no national ice arena, which would not only cater for Curling (Chess on ice) and Ice & Speed Skating (not to mention Ice Hockey) but also for Bobsleigh, Lugge and Skeleton. Appropriate facilities for disabled people would be important too. I much prefer winter to summer sports. with coverage of the Winter Olympics currently making winterr] sports more popular than ever.
