Please sign this petition to tell the County Executive and the Legislature in Nassau County that Old Country Road at 3rd Avenue must have a delayed light to allow pedestrians to cross the street. For those who live or work near 1 West Street, 3rd Avenue, The New Court house, The Police Station in Mineola or are concerned about people who do, please sign this petition. The county built a bus terminal at 3rd Avenue and there is a major Long Island Rail Road stop on the North side of Old Country Road and if you use any of these to come to work or home, you are taking your life in your hands when you cross the street. Yesterday a woman was critically injured crossing the street to get a slice of pizza and she is not the first or I fear the last. PLEASE FIX OLD COUNTRY ROAD AT 3RD AVENUE.
