Imagine my shock and dismay when i paid my DSTV Compact Plus subscription of N9,420 ($50) a day to the start of the new English Premier League season, only to find that SuperSport 3, the traditional home of soccer on DStv had been stripped of the English Premiership.

Meaning that i would have to pay for the Premium Bouquet (N13,000,$67) to watch premiership soccer!

Now i love my soccer as much as the next guy, probably even more, but it was already a stretch paying for the Compact Plus bouquet; what with an expanding family to care for, school fees that act as contraceptives, black market fuel prices and a static salary with no hopes of promotion on the horizon.

I simply cannot justify the extra expense and i know there are thousands of soccer fans like me simply aghast that DSTV is strong-arming Nigerians into paying N13,000 every month to watch soccer.

If we can get 10,000 signatures on this petition, the National Assembly will be duty bound to look into this matter as it would represent the voice of the people whose wishes they swore to defend. So please sign it if you feel DStv is exploiting us and share it with all your friends and enemies and urge them to sign and share with their friends and enemies as well.
