Now more on to the point: in being critical of kishimoto's treatment of his main characters one has to notice in particular sakura's development as a character. She's the only one of team 7 in which the fans have yet to see her side-story. We saw Kakashi's story in kakashi gaiden, in the canon filler kakashi anbu arc, and in kakashi's exchanges with obito. We saw sasuke's story in his flashbacks about itachi and his family, in sasuke's battle with itachi, and in sasuke's battles with naruto. And obviously we've all seen naruto's story and where he comes from. We haven't seen much of sakura's story other than her flashback while battling ino. This leaves her relatively incomplete as a main character. Hopefully kishimoto will give us someday sakura's gaiden but for now the best we can do is probe into what could be considered as misuderstandings with sakura's character due to her lack of development.
What we know from some of her flashbacks and conflict resolutions is that sakura's character has self-esteem issues and maybe an inferiority complex. This could explain her reactions to sasuke and naruto.

Sasuke actually should be in jail. So sasusaku wouldn't actually exists so sarada doesn't even exists. Crimes. Crimes. If Naruto was hokage during that time he would free naruto and then sasuke would be on the run. Not having a kid with sakura.
