The Code of Conduct for the school is Respect, Courage, Honesty, Compassion, Responsibility. The students are raised to hold these attributes in high esteem. We, as adults need to model them for our children and exhibit them in our community. Our children need us to show respect for them and their futures. We need to show courage in fighting for their ability to learn in an environment that has been studied and tested to be the most beneficial. We need to be honest that money and budgets are not more important than our future. We need to show compassion to these children who are working so hard to learn and grow and form relationships without uprooting their sense of security and belonging. Finally we need to take responsibility for our children's education, our communities reputation for excellence and our future. Please sign this petition in support of honoring the school Code of Conduct, consistency in their learning environment, reasonable classroom sizes, and sense of community each of them have built for themselves in both schools. By transferring even a small number of Narragansett students to Village, it will effect both communities and both buildings class numbers. Sign to support a "no" response to the proposal of merging school zones for the coming year.
