This park looks as though it was an afterthought. The gravel path adds to this affect, it does not meet up with the Linear Park trail. It stops short in a dirt allyway no more than 10 meters away from the Linear Park trail. The path is only really useful for walking on if you don’t mind stepping over the crumbling surface.
I believe a concrete path some what wider than the current path would be much more practicle, safer and more useful than the current gravel path.

Scooters do not work at this park as the path is not smooth. It’s unstable for all to walk on.

Had quite a few near miss slips on the bike on this section of the path, as have my two young girls. Initially this path was sound to bike along but recently just very loose sand / soil. Fixing this would be great.

A smooth concrete path would be great for all residents from elderly wanting stable footing, to young families with toddlers and using the “loop” around the playground for tike bikes/scooters. This is a well used connecting path to Henley Beach and is a loved spot for neighborhood street Christmas parties.
I support the petition.
