Sometimes the amnesty doesn't run properly, then it needs to be done manually - causing another month of delay. NamRa should also take responsibility for the fact MoF did almost nothing up to 2020. Assess all years as was submitted by the taxpayer prior to this, so that the years thereafter can also be assessed. Currently it is showing "pending prior year assessment", thus keeping the taxpayer from making use of amnesty, if needs be. We are still working on back log and system issues from 2019 and prior, especially sch19. Assess all accounts and then we can all start working together on a fresh page.

As a new investor to the country I would like to ensure fiscal compliance for the company and directors. For a smooth operating business environment is it’s important to have simple and easy to comply with fiscal policy.
On the other hand I see accounting and auditing firms, including ours, struggling to keep up to date with fiscal policy. Therefore, so as to give such firms, currently inundated with clients seeking to meet the current amnesty deadline and unable to attend to audits for compliant companies, more time to ensure companies do comply with fiscal policy I am in favour to an extension of the amnesty deadline.
