I support the extension of the amnesty period. Many individuals and businesses are still in the process of organizing their affairs and need more time to fully take advantage of this opportunity. Extending the amnesty will encourage greater compliance and allow more people to settle their obligations without facing penalties, especially given the economic challenges many are still recovering from.

Some of our audit tax cases are not finalised meaning we will not benefit from this good initiative plus it’s a drought crisis year declared by the his excellency President hence it’s difficult for effected farmers to settle due balances as they can’t sell their animals at market or above market prices.Hereby humbly request for an extension so it benefits all of us once our cases are finalised as we might be ring-fenced.
