CGA 92, I see Coach and his wife at the games even today - he is dedicated like no other and clearly has earned this honor.

CGA 92. Wholeheartedly support naming the lower soccer field after Coach Cieplik. I will always be grateful for his support on and off the field at CGA, and throughout my career until the day I retired. A class act who had a gift for making everyone around him feel like an MVP.

100% made me a better Coast Guard Officer! In fact, without Coach Cieplik, I would have never became a CG Officer.

Coach Cieplik was an outstanding soccer coach and teacher. I never played soccer but I would watch. Sound fundamentals, solid strategy and good motivator. He actually assisted the baseball team (my sport) teaching base stealing and sliding techniques. He was unselfish... always trying to make you better. Great gym teacher... I had him for gymnastics. The lower soccer field should be named for him!

CGA '76. Played Soccer 4 years with Ray Cieplik as Head Coach and a great man. He was a great influence on us as a leader. Collegiate standout himself as a soccer player. There was nothing he didn't know how to do. It was our privilege to be associated with him and play for him. Respected and gentlemanly wherever we were at home, on the road or invited into his home. Got the most out of us, and made us fearless and confident. We played an off season game against U Conn (Div I). Recall we did well, and according to my memory (not 100% sure) we won. We were not athletes on scholarships like many schools, many of us just - in shape - novices, like me, but he taught us the game and made us competitive with the best in our division (Div III). He will always be remembered fondly and with the greatest respect.
