Yes, I've been saying this for years. It should be named after the Marines and Army personnel that died in the helicopter crash just west of it.

Air Commandos and the men and women of AFSOC have given so much to our nation over many many decades. Their sacrifice and dedication to the local area has helped make Navarre a thriving community and sustained it in good times and bad. It would be a great honor to have this bridge dedicated to their service and ties they have in the Emerald Coast Community and Navarre.

This is such a small thing that we can do to honor MSgt John Chapman and all of the hero's, once our neighbors, that ultimately gave their all, and sacrificed themselves for each of us.

Many local Air Commandos made the ultimate sacrifice! It is only right and fitting that we honor them all by renaming the Navarre Bridge as the Air Commando Bridge!
