To honor the Air Commandos living in Santa Rosa County, we propose the Navarre Bridge be renamed Air Commando Bridge and the Navarre Causeway be named in honor of Medal of Honor recipient (posthumous) MSgt. John Chapman, USAF.

Many local Air Commandos made the ultimate sacrifice! It is only right and fitting that we honor them all by renaming the Navarre Bridge as the Air Commando Bridge!
As another retired "Quiet Professional" of the Special Ops world I too support this proposal to honor our deserving heros such as MSgt John Chapman.
MSgt John Chapman have his life for our country and his brothers. There is no higher sacrifice and he and his family deserve this honor. His wife and kids will know he gave all and or community is forever grateful. Never forget our fallen.
So many men, women, and families of AFSOC make Navarre their home. This is very appropriate for the location. The Navarre community should have a say, and honoring the sacrifices members of our community have made for our country is an outstanding idea.
As a veteran who served at Hurlburt Field and was a homeowner in Navarre during my time there I feel like naming the bridge for the local military community and honoring MSgt Chapman would be a great honor for the town.
