Curtis was such a sweet soul! I remember walking up the Galax High School football field stadium steps when I was a senior at halftime during a football game. He was in 7th grade then (same grade as my oldest nephew) and he stopped me and asked me to autograph his sports program. ❤️ He epitomized school spirit from that young age and on!

A wonderful way to honor one of our own who gave so much with no expectation of anything in return. Curtis is also the perfect person for future students to learn about and see the true example of a hometown hero.
