I served one full year on the Vice President's South Florida Drug Task Force. Having been involved in a shooting incident with Colombian drug traffickers, I can only imagine what suffering SA Rios' family has endured all these years. SA Rios made the ultimate sacrifice and his name deserves to be prominently displayed on the new BATFE HQ building.

I was the Dep Director of the Task Force when Special Agent Rios was assigned. He was an outstanding Special Agent and a credit to the Task Force, ATF, and himself. He clearly deserves this tribute.

I worked with Ariel before he joined ATF. He made the ultimate sacrifice and was honored for it with his name given to ATF HQ. Let's restore that honor.

As a former ATF agent and U.S. Customs Agent, I was assigned to the Vice President's South Florida Task Force in Tampa in 1982 when Agent Rios was murdered. I absolutely agree with this petition and view it as small compensation for the loss of one's life and family.

It is the right thing to do! Jeb Bush responded to a letter I sent him saying - "He would do his part" to make sure the building is named after S.A. Rios. To make he does I suggest that everyone send him a reminder.

I wonder at the short memory span of those who name buildings and monuments for our government. To eliminate Ariel Rios' name from the BATF&E headquarters borders on contempt for those who have given their lives protecting this country.
