The name of the Federal Building at 1200 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW in Washington, D.C. should be returned to the Ariel Rios Federal Building as a lasting memory of a Federal law enforcement agent who gave his life in the line of duty in service to our great country.

A building dedicated to an honoeable deceased civil servants killed in the line of duty should never have been renamed after someone else. This is especially true when it was renamed after a President who brought shame to the Office with his scandals. It is only just that the newest ATF HEADQUARTERS be dedicated to deceased ATF Special Agent Ariel Rios who served honorably to fight the war of crime in our great Nation.

At the 1985 dedication, Director Higgins remarked that Ariel was not a man who saw himself as better than any of us, but that in his life and sacrifice he represented the best in all of us. As true today as it was then.
