Do you or have you ever live on the Mississippi Gulf Coast?

If your sick and tired of the Mississippi Gulf Coast being ignored, by the National News Media Outlets (such as CNN, Fox News, NBC, ABC, CBS...etc), when it comes to the reporting of post Hurricane Katrina events?

We are asking you to sign our petition to help stamp out this injustice. This petition will be forwarded to all the major news outlets, in hopes that they would realize that the Great State of Mississippi does have a Gulf Coast, and cities and towns which populate this region.

Somehow, through all the shuffle and wealth of misinformation about New Orleans, LA. Waveland, Mississippi, (the spot of the actual landfall of Katrina), and the rest of the Mississippi Gulf Coast has been forgotten. Help us to send a reminder to the news media outlets, as well as other official outlets, that Mississippi 's Gulf Coast is alive and well!

Okay...ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

We're sick and tried of everytime, the name "Katrina" is mentioned, that the National News Media people, say it was a "New Orleans Disaster". Nothing could be further from the truth. The flooding of New Orleans, was a man made disaster, when the levees collapsed, due to poor construction, NOT KATRINA! (Source: Levee.org - see The Katrina Myth)

The worst part of the hurricane is the RIGHT FRONT quadrant of the storm, NOT THE LEFT! This put the Mississippi Gulf Coast in Katrina's Cross hairs when she made landfall. (Source: NHC/NOAA - Hurricane FAQ)

I'm sorry, but the so-called news reporters that work for these outlets, need to check their sources a little closer! They have no regard for those who really suffered the worst of Katrina, they go off half cocked stating that, "New Orleans took the worst of  Katrina..." Maybe these same reporters and media outlets need to revisit Waveland, Bay St. Louis, Pass Chrisitian, Gulfport, Biloxi, and Pascagoula Mississippi before they rush to that conclusion. We the citizen of Coastal Mississippi have worked hard for five long years, to help bring back this region of the state. And for five years, we have lived in the shadow of New Orleans, LA.
