Have had some of my precious Ratties die from this! Please let a vaccine be made to help their little lives last a bit longer! They give so much to helping humans let us help them!

Mycoplasma pulmonis affects all pet rats and involves much cost in medications and vet care for the people who love them, while also causing cumulative health issues for the rats themselves. Other than tumours, myco is THE main health issue affecting the well-being of these much-lived pets. Please help promote the better health and well-being for these delightful little animals so that they can live longer, healthier and more comfortable lives.

Please stop this awful disease that is killing so many pet rats and breaking so many hearts! Antibiotics are not very effective, because it always comes back or by becomes chronic. Please help us the rat owners! Thank you!

Lost my heart rat to myco earlier this year. She still had time, but her lungs and tiny body couldn't hold on. Listening to her gasping for air in her last few months was heartbreaking.

As a rat owner its really painful watching my pet struggle to breath when this bacteria causes flare ups. Please find a cure for it so that future rats dont have to suffer

Rats are some of the most loving animals, and they deserve to not have to suffer with preventable illness.

They are good little animals and they have rights to live healthy. It's not because they are rats that they do not suffer!

This disease has taken some of my pet rats too soo. It's heartbreaking to watch them suffer and even with veterinarian care, they still can die young.

More and more people are finding the rat to be the special pet. But most don't live past 2 because of this ailment. We would really love to see this irradicated once and for all.

I’d pay $1-2,000 for this vaccination if it existed. I’m not wealthy but treatment of myco practically costs that.

My 1st 2 rats had uri issues they're whole lives, constantly on antibiotics, so expensive, but necessary for quality of life, we do need help

This would absolute blessing, and I know it would be wildly successful within the pet rat community, especially as a vaccine- I know I'd make sure all my pet rats used it, so it would be profitable for those who might consider picking it up as an option. Please please start studying rat health more in general! There aren't enough options out there for us to keep our rats healthy, and maybe people feel it's not worth it because they have short lives, but if we can help keep them more Healthy, their precious lives will be longer!

Rats are more intelligent than cats, yet they have no proper preventative care. These little guys have paved the way for saving so many human lives via sacrificing their lives in research environments ... can we not pay them back, just a little?
