This would definitely not reduce sales for MOPI. In fact, it would no doubt increase sales for MOPI- get with it, New Line Cinema!!!

It would be a great shame if James Franco's beautiful tribute to River Phoenix through his film, "My Own Private River" wasn't able to be seen by River Phoenix fans worldwide. It would be such a beautiful addition to the original film, My Own Private Idaho. Both films could be released in a joint Box Set. If you released both films together that should not compromise the originals sales. River Phoenix's work should be acknowledged just as much as the late Marilyn Monroe and James Dean. If you were to release My Own Private River it would continue to spread his legacy. Thank you!
