i agree why should us girls get dress coded because of our clothing how are we suppose to learn and have an education if we are getting pulled from class to go change they should teach boys to not look at girls like an object we are entitled to wear what is appropriate for school we should be able to dress or wear what is appropriate for the proper weather that is just stopping us from getting an eduaction by being pulled out of class because of our clothing

If they taught boys the right way to treat females in a school environment, they wouldn't be so distracted, I think it's more distracting to the student being pulled out of class to change. If it's completely inappropriate yes, but otherwise leave kids alone n let them learn in what they are comfortable in!!

Even though I never got dress coded, I thought and still think, that Berrien Springs High school has a pretty strict dress code. And I'm not saying this just because I came from a school without dress code.

If they said the same thing to boys or men. I wouldn't be no where near bothered. I see boys shirtless at practice, gym or roaming the halls. No one said a word. They wear shorts and tank tops. We hear nothing but silence. Those football pants omg. They should be wearing hammer pants the way they enhance their derrière.lol

I remember going to BSHS and being shamed by staff for *possible dress code violations. I never broke any rules, just had staff tell me how close to breaking the rules I was. Pretty sure they were just talking about my body. Not ok. No one, especially male staff should ever have the right to talk to young girls about how they look.

Girls are not objects. By sending a girl home for her pants; her shoulders, her collarbones, her skirt length, you are teaching her that a boys education is more important than hers. You are teaching her that she will always be seen as an object, and that it's okay for people to objectify her. A girls education is just as important as a boys; and her outfit should not impact that. If teachers are sexualizing young teens bodies, we have another issue on our hands.

By doing this, you are sending the wrong message to young ladies. They are not a distraction, and you are teaching them to be ashamed of their bodies. You are also laying the pretense that it's acceptable for young men to behave inappropriately based on a ladie's attire. Bad move....
