This beautiful pitbull does NOT DESERVE to die!!! He was only trying to play with the chickens, and because of his size and strength, some of the chickens unfortunately didn't survive.
The dog is not dangerous or vicious!
He was only playing, and a terrible accident! PLEASE DO NOT KILL/
OR EUTHANIZE THIS DOG!!!
There is a difference in playing rough,
or ripping an animal from limb to limb.
The dog was clearly only trying to play.
This was not an attack! Dog was just wanting to play..not even realizing the differences in animals. (Size and strength).

Although I feel this is another case of, wrong breed, wrong owner, (get something you can control, even if it's just picking them UP), there is a fine line between, "They were just chickens". What about when Rebel does this to a Yorkie and runs over it and breaks it's back? I do not agree Rebel should be murdered. I believe he should be required to be TRAINED. PROFESSIONALLY. There are EFFECTIVE harnesses and head collars for hard to control pets. A professional trainer can help with dogs like Rebel. Admitting that you can't control your dog is leaving the possibilty that this could happen again.

My Golden retriever who was a wonderful family dog would kill just about any animal who came across her path rabbits, squirrels birds. We called her Jeffery Dahmer dog. My Rotwiller, who was massive didn't hurt a fly! I am sorry your dog has had this sentence only because of its breed! pit Bulls are awesome dogs and those chickens should not have been in your yard torment and teasing him. The judge was not fair taking that into account. For goodness sakes it is awful and I will pray for Rebel shame on the Judge and your chicken neighbors!!!

No dog should have to be put down for something like that! Chickens need to be in a coop anyway. He is still a baby and was probably just trying to play.

You can take your negativity and get off of my petition. Your opinion is irrelevant at this point. I've got plenty of supporters so one negative person isn't going to change anything. Thank you though, have a good day .

I had a similar situation happen with my dog, luckily, the courts were reasonable. Dogs shouldn't be labeled "chicken killers" unless humans can be euthanized for it, too. I'm so sorry to hear of this idiocy.

I don't remember anyone dying from being attacked by wild chickens. Why don't you take responsibility for yourself and realize ok have a dog that you obviously cannot control! Breed discrimination my ass... Its the same story every time... Maybe you should be walking your own dog instead of your senior citizen mom. (But I bet neither of you could control the dog anyway). OBVIOUSLY!!!!

I've had chickens killed by neighbor's dogs before. I have also had a Golden Eagle try and fly off with one. Did I kill the animals? No! I put the chickens back in their pen on our own property where they belong.
P.S. - My Jack Russell loves to chase and terrify our chickens. She has been taught not to touch them though!
He does not deserve to be put down!!!!!
