What do you want ICI to do? Outdoor recreation is an important aspect of any community. Adults, youth and kids who do not participate in regular physical education or community outdoor recreation programs are far more likely to become inactive individuals. Having an in-house outdoor arena will increase ICI's support and encouragement for community to participate in outdoor recreational programs. This project will increase ICI's reputation, makes it an attraction and will make ISI a one-stop school in U.S.A. This project will also be No.1 in entire U.S.A to offer Sister's outdoor activity within the masjid premises. Lacking outdoor recreation at ICI causing community to split in groups and utilize city parks and other recreational facilities. This is casuing youth to stay away from masjid and often lead to miss their prayers as well. As stakeholders in this project we humbly request shura council and construction committee to approve this project. KEY BENEFITS of THIS PROJECT: - A great value for Islamic school of Irving and ICI to encourage Arts through outdoor stage plays and cultural programs with stadium seating. - Brings quality and an attraction to ICI for having an outdoor arena with stadium seating. - Makes it possible for community ( adults, youth, kids) to enjoy outdoor recreation in summers. - Brings revenue to ICI via Arena rentals, sponsorships,memberships and tournaments. - Due to lack of privacy in court design, outdoor volleyball has been brothers only game at ICI which is a drawback for sisters participation.Having enclosed and secured location will facilitate sisters participation and a possible sisters volleyball tournaments. - To provider players and DFW audience a best in class Volleyball court and arena with quality amenities. - To establish Volleyball tournaments and leagues as a continuing legacy of ICI and support for strong Unity and brotherhood in DFW metro area. - To become a one stop place for families to enjoy summer evenings with fun filled Volleyball games and enjoy food court. This project will enable the following - Start revenue by establishing Membership Enrollments - By forming teams and organize league matches for DFW audience - Encourage youth and sisters participation - Conduct DFW metro wide tournaments for Muslim audience - Conduct DFW metro wide Interfaith Tournament to increase outreach efforts and support understanding, respect and unity among interfaith groups.
