Today, Tuesday 13 January, 2015, the President of Germany, along with the Chancellor, the leaders of the political parties in the German Parliament, representatives of the Protestant and Catholic churches, the Jewish Central Council, reps. of the civil society, and German people in general, all participate in a demonstration in solidarity with German Muslims.
This action means that Germanywants to be part of the solution rather than being part of the problem with regard to world peace and stability.
Therefore, we, Arabs and Muslims, who sign this petition would like to express our gratitude to Germany and its people,not merely because of the solidarity stand with German Muslims, but mainly because such actions contribute to stopping and reversing the increasing divid between nations and civilizations with different cultures and religions.
We also call upon other people and governments in Europe, and the world, to have similar initiatives in order for all of us to prove that we are against extremism and terrorism of all kinds, and that we can deal with the roots of such phenomena by cooperation and co-exestance, realizing that this is what guaranties the preservation of peace and stability all over the world.
اليوم الثلاثاء، بتاريخ 13 يناير/كانون الثاني، يشارك في مظاهرة تضامن مع مسلمي ألمانيا كل من الرئيس الألماني والمستشارة والوزراء ورؤساء كتل الأحزاب السياسية الخمسة الممثلة في البرلمان الألماني، وممثلو الكنيستين
.الكاثوليكية والبروتستانتية والمجلس المركزي للجالية اليهودية ومنظمات المجتمع الألماني ومواطنون ألمان
وحين يقوم الألمان بهذه المبادرة، في هذا الوقت بالذات، فإن الأمر يعني أن ألمانيا تريد أن تكون جزءاً من الحل وليس جزءاً من المشكلة، فيما يتعلق بما يريده البعض أن يصبح صراع حضارات جديد
إننا نحن العرب والمسلمين الموقعين على هذه الرسالة نعبر عن خالص امتناننا وشكرنا لألمانيا حكومةً وشعباً، ليس فقط لهذا الموقف الضامني مع مسلمي ألمانيا، وإنما أكثر من ذلك لأن هذه المبادرة تعبر عن رغبة صادقة من ألمانيا في العمل لوقف تيار الفرز والتفرقة بين الشعوب والحضارات والأديان التي تُشكل التنوع البشري الجميل
كما أننا ندعو باقي الدول والشعوب في أوربا وفي العالم بأسره للقيام بمثل هذه المبادرات، لنكون جميعاً، بحق، ضد كل أنواع التطرف والإرهاب، ونعالج هذه القضايا من جذورها، من خلال تأكيد معاني التعايش والتعاون بين كل الشعوب، وهو وحده ماسيحقق ويحفظ الأمن والاستقرار في العالم
