Muslim women (Muslimas) will not stand by idly while men intent on killing and maiming our children, husbands, brothers, uncles, grandsons, the whole of our kin, and mislead Muslims and non-Muslim alike about our Islam. The men (and perhaps women) of the terrorist group calling itself ISIS do not represent the vast majority of Muslims who practice their religion in varying political, social, and cultural environments without straying from the teachings, instigating hateful conflict, or taking the lives of women, children, the elderly, and others who do not show aggression toward our communities. While there are many who profess to be Muslims and profess to carry out their vicious attacks against innocent people based on a twisted and elementary view and interpretation of Islam, those are truly the few. Unfortunately, if just one-tenth of 1% of all Muslims - out of an estimated 1.6 billion worldwide - choose to stray from the teachings, it appears that the whole of the Islamic nation has strayed. We Muslimas, who are among the majority of the Muslims, will not let ISIS terrorists speak or act for us. We reject the vicious, in-human, un-Islamic, heartbreaking actions of its members, and pray for its many victims. ISIS does not represent us, our beliefs or our religion.

Our message to ISIS is a simple one: FEAR ALLAH!
