As a person who contracted covid-19 and recovered I can tell you the virus has the same symptoms as the flu and same time frame of recovery. Even my chronically ill grandmother and mother in law are thanks to God recovering without any medication. The risks of the vaccine with not enough backing scientific evidence outweighs the benefits and hence the risk of bodily harm is much more increased. As a scientist and Optometrist with extensive knowledge in the field of infections both viral and bacterial and importantly as a practicing Muslim who gives great importance to implementing halal in everything I do, I refuse to be forced into COVID vaccination. It is against our democracy, freedom of choice and importantly for me as a Muslim with the ingredients it’s forbidden. As I have overcome the virus, I now have immunity to it and hence don’t require the virus either.
