Music can only benefit those who are dedicated to music. Being forced to learn about music forces kids to believe that they don't have a choice confining them to a belief of annoyance and boredom.

I feel like it is important to have music, but the things that we are learning in music are borning and we are already doing a lot of things like culture and that stuff in Social Studies and ELA. Really, I don't think it should be gone, but it does need to change.

Music is a class that does not focus on enough of the notes of music itself, only singing and rhythm. I also believe that it is a very forced class and not as free and flowing as orchestra or band.

I TOTALLY agree to this! When I was in 2nd grade, I lost interest in music and I would just rather listen to music then actually sing it or play it. I hope that this petition gets 100 signatures!
