The persons set out in the following list are in support of application 2012-1548-4 by MULTICULTURAL BROADCASTING COMPANY (MBC) announced in Broadcasting Notice of Consultation 2014-102.
i. The persons named on this list have requested that the applicant submit the attached interventions/comments on their behalf;
I understand MBC is applying for a license to operate an FM Radio Station that will be serving the community of Scarborough. The station will be an asset to the Ethnic community with programs that will be 85% in Tamil, Bengali, Sinhala, Tagalog, Urdu, Farsi and Gujarati with the remainder being in English. Programming will consist of a variety of Music, Talk, News, Sports, and other hyper-local programming which will be focused specifically at topics of interest to the community of Scarborough. I support MBC and this application for an FM Radio license to serve Scarborough.
i. Each person named on this list has been informed by the applicant or party that their name and information will be posted on the Commission’s website as part of the public record of this proceeding and that all information provided by this person becomes part of the publicly accessible file, including personal information such as full name, email address, postal/ street address, telephone and facsimile number (s) and any other personal information provided;
ii. No person named on this list is requesting to appear at the hearing.

Seeing all these names show up on the list makes me think back to when we were just talking about this in the coffee shop, and honestly it feels like a dream that this is actually gaining real legs now. It is wild to imagine how much better the airwaves in Scarborough will be once we have this programming, and I am just so happy that all of you keep jumping on board to make it happen.

The list for Scarborough is growing and honestly it is so wild to see everyone coming together like this because we really need this station to get off the ground. If we can hit that hundred mark before I send this over to the Commission it will show them exactly how much this community is ready for real local radio. Just grab someone else today and get them to add their name because that push is going to make all the difference for our application.

hope this gets approved soon because local radio is lacking in this area.
i support this station because it gives us news in our own languages which is very useful.
we really need more programs for our community on the radio in scarborough.
