I grew up roaming this creek and fishing it. I love history, but my memories and the fact that my parents still live right there are the reason I am against the development.

We need to preserve our history, not eliminate it. We have enough to contend with by all the cultural terrorists trying to change the names of schools and streets, and remove monuments to our Confederate dead. This greedy developer only cares about filling his pockets with money and cares nothing for the historical importance of this land.

I grieve that Cobb County residents would so easily join the ranks of those who deny their confederate roots. If this trend of "plowing down" Southern History continues, there will be nothing left of our beloved ancestors...only the cowardice of this politically correct generation.
