Mtv Lebanon's show Etiquette and the offensive segment on breastfeeding in public

Fully agree with the petition. It's sad and frustrating to see the hypocrisy the show is promoting

I totally agree with this petition's content, concept, and goals.

you should be encouraging moms to breastfeed. Encourage the malls, the restaurants to have a private section where moms can sit and breastfeed but not talk about this as an Etiquette.

Breastfeeding is beautiful and we are proud to nurse our children in public! I've breastfed both of my kids for more than 2 years each while living in Lebanon and I must say I haven't had any negative looks or comments for doing it openly in public. I was happy Lebanese society seemed mature and welcoming, just like a European community would be, however the recent TV show is shocking and I believe it's an honest mistake and the "speech" of the presenter does not represent the general view of the society. I really hope so at least. Please correct this huge misunderstanding. I run a big breastfeeding support network in Lebanon and mothers are rightfully infuriated (only on my group I have almost 2,000 active members). We deserve respect and praise for the selfless act of love that we are doing for our children - future generation of the world. Feeding babies is the priority and no mother should be harassed for it whatever way she decided to do it. Thank you.

I support breastfeeding

Children must breastfeed. Full stop.

In a country where a lot of women prefer formula to breast-feeding so they dont spoil their breast, im surprised they are offended with public breastfeeding. If you want your breast to be beautiful, isn’t it for other people sake ? Isn’t it to look good ? Isn’t it because you CARE about your body being in a certain shape and not another. And if you didn’t want to show off your body, why would you even care? Everything in our society tend to be sexualize and when a woman breastfeeds in public, still, people are shocked, people act as if you were not here, as if you were being invasive.

This is typical of Lebanese "journalism." The host is chosen based on either there looks or their connections rather than their knowledge. The upside to this is that the program Etiquette has only a handful of viewers.

Mrs. Nadine defined at her last episode that "etiquette" is the fact of respecting people without passing the set limit ! And at the same episode, herself passed lots of limits, disrespected, & hurt many breastfeeding women.. So is she really getting or applying the "etiquette" definition ?!! I would appreciate if MTV take the corrective action immediately!

This is totally unacceptable! Breastfeeding is natural its normal there isnt etiquette for it !!

you should educate your staff better when discussing topics like breastfeeding or children or at least have a lactation consultant in the interview. And the presentator should at least be a mom!

i am an English lady living in Lebanon and I can not believe how uneducated people are when it comes to breastfeeding. Women should be aloud to breastfeed our children when ever and wherever we want. Giving life to our babies is nothing to be ashamed of. Move into the twenty first century people.

we trust MTV will take the proper corrective action. Breastfeeding dates back to way before etiquette.
