Mtv Lebanon's show Etiquette and the offensive segment on breastfeeding in public

This is unacceptable

If you think breastfeeding is embarrassing then please also stop feeding your children of any age.. Breastfeeding is natural and beautiful.

Hats off for all breastfeeding moms! I think thay some the lebanese ladies you can meet on the street are showing much more skin that a breastfeeding mom!

Being a wife of lebanese, I had so many bad experiances in Lebanon with my baby, even I have never exposed myself in public. In the family everyone was surprised I am "still" !!! breastfeeding my 3 months old baby! One of the doctors pediatricians said to my mother in law that I am breastfeeding cos "women in Croatia (where I am from) LIKE to breastfeed babies!!!! I am still breastfeeding my 21months old boy and I know the reasons (or better to say benefits)! But of course, now when I am in Lebanon I will need to hide it. Shame of how many people with such a big lack of education.

Iam a mother of 4and a grand mom of 5. I was a breast feeding mom ,and im so proud ....... I encourage my daughter and my daughters in-law to breast feeding ,anywhere ,any time . Iam ashame that our society still have uneducated people ,who they dont know the precious and the value of breast feeding that God created.. Breast feeding Mom should be allowed and encourage to breast feed ,when and wherever they want..to raise helthier and smarter generation..... Please wake up for the sake of our babies .. If any one got a problem with someone feeding his baby in the most natural way, I think he is the one who have problem ,not the brest feeding mom ... Truly !! Iam so disapointed to see people in my country moving backward..

I know in the US it is not acceptable. I was proud that in Lebanon it made sense to accept this natural practice to happen. We know that closed minded thinking tries to change societies bakward. Women have to resist ideas like those.Hiding untruly behind kids in not an excuse.

I am a beeastfeeding dad and I ask the following question: Why formula feeding is allowed in public while breastfeeding is forbidden ? Is formula milk more natural and healthy ? Does it help to raise a healthy generation as breast milk does ?

Didn't watch the segment but just but reading the reply I felt the impact of ignorance. I am not a mother and never have been but I fight the ignorance we have in our society.

Decent breastfeeding is absolutely possible in public. Let's educate, not prohibate.

Breastfeeding moms should not only be allowed to breastfeed when and wherever they need to but they should be encouraged to give this best food for their children, shame on such comments and such ignorance!

It is so ironic and disgusting that it is very normal for many women to show more skin in Lebanon, but a breastfeeding mother should "hide" !!!

Breast feeding mothers have so much to do and to worry about, some of us have to go through so much pain to achieve breast feeding goals, while others are sitting in a comfortable chair on TV spreading false and arrogant arguments about a precious and natural gift a mother can give to her child. Unacceptable, revolting, offending and truly sad.
