We the students of Porter & Chester Institute evening classes, plead with management for our cherished teacher, Ms. Parent to be allowed to return.

Ms. Parent is important enough to us that together, we are taking a stand.  We believe that now that the real reason for all problems has been dealt with, in time Ms. Parent and we students are willing, and WILL prove to you that she had nothing to do with those issues. 

Why is she so special to us?  Well, with a teaching style that positively spoke to each and every one of us, her humor and real-life examples kept us laughing and eager to learn even through our times of frustration.  Her door was always open; every question important, her goal plainly was to see us succeed.  Not only did she care for us academically, but her compassion shown to us individually, made her the teacher of choice to reach out to in times of emotional distress, whatever the cause.  The lessons she taught were not only about our textbooks, but with pride she expressed to us the role of medical assistants so eloquently, we eagerly looked forward to the day we could step into our role and actually make a difference. 

With courage and confidence, we know that we can come to you (management) with our thoughts and feelings, know that we are important to you and will be taken seriously, that you will always protect our privacy.  You have proven to us only recently that you truly care, not only about our education, but our well-being and state of mind as well.  You have earned our trust; we know that you have our best interests at heart.  Obviously this is your standard; why else would we have ever had the privilege to work with someone who holds the same values, someone like Ms. Parent.  Some of you have gone above and beyond the call of duty with understanding and have even made yourselves available outside school hours.  Porter & Chester is our school of choice, not because others say so, but because YOU have made it that way.  You have proved your dedication and commitment to all of us.  So with heartfelt appreciation and the utmost respect, we implore you to hear our voices and to feel our hearts.
