It is honestly tragic that this community is just being left to sink. I hope they listen this time and protect the coast like they should have years ago.
PLEASE HELP. Monkey River is a special place that deserves to be saved.
STOP THE EROSION! Monkey River is part of our home.
Spent the best summer of my life there back in 98. It makes me sick to see how much has been swept away by the tide. Government needs to get off their butts and fix this erosion problem.
My family has roots here going back generations. Watching the shoreline disappear into the sea is heartbreaking. Do something before there is nothing left.
