I really love this place. So elegant, respectful. Perfect for the older adults. I felt safe there. Save Mr. J's Lounge

Very well run establishment that can not control the terrorist of our inner city. This is a favorite for our adult tax payers of this area.

Mr. J’s has done their best to create a safe environment and it’s unfortunate people in the area have ruined their reputation through the rising violence that plagues Milwaukee currently. Mr. J’s should not be punished before the real criminals. Please consider their license renewal and keep this local black owned establishment open

This establishment offers a place for adults to gather, socialize, dance, play billiards, eat, drink, and relax.

As the sentiments that have been echoed before me have already stated….it is unfair to take away such a culturally important staple in the heart of the city because of violence that is plaguing the entire city. It would have been nice of the surrounding community members to mention all the things right Mr. Js has done but forcing on the negative fits their agenda to close down yet again another black owned business. I/We the citizens of Milwaukee implore the board to reconsider its decision to deny renewal of Mr. J license.

If they don't renew Mr. J's due to violence then Most bars in Milwaukee should also lose their licenses. It's Not the places fault for violence...

Mr. J have been in the community for over 45 year's I understand we have issues in our communities but it's not the club fault we have a lot going on in the community's of Milwaukee if that's the case they have to close everything I'm hoping you will work with the club owner to find a solution I have been supporting them since I was 20 year's old I'm 65 now and I'm still supporting them.

Seems like a double standard when compared to Water Street

It's not Mr. J's fault that violence happened in or near their establishment, it's the people that committed the crimes and Mr. J's should not be held accountable for those people bad actions. Mr J's is a nice club and I have been going there for years and would hate to see it gone.

Hello Mr. Rainey, This email is to show my support for Mr. Jay's on Fond du Lac ave. I am in my 40s and Mr. Jay's is one of the few places, in Milwaukee, that I feel comfortable going for happy hour or for a random weekend hang out. The support staff and management are professional and reasonably ensure my safety. I don't believe that they should be held liable for the ignorance of the people of this city. Closing one of best spots for mature adults will not change the mindset of some of the people in this city. Education, after school programs and good jobs will help but not this. Please help if you can. Thank you.

This is one of the only places that I would frequent even being one of the younger patrons for years because I new I could have a good time and it was drama free. You drink dance even eat if you want. The staff was always kind.
