We have been informed that Mr. Tufo is having all his Pre-Calculus classes taken away. This petition is to encourage the administration to highly consider giving Mr. Tufo some, if not all, his Pre-Calculus classes back. He is an amazing teacher that cares a lot about his students. He covers a vast amount of difficult material in a short amount of time while still making sure everyone understands. A class that is so difficult gets such high test averages and grades because he is such an effective teacher. He pushes and challenges his students every day so they will be completely prepared for AP Calculus. Mr. Tufo has been at Spanish River for 22 years successfully teaching students math with no problems, therefore this change comes as a shock with no explained reasoning behind it. Personally, I have never had a teacher that cared so much to teach every day, bell to bell, and never ever miss a day. To take this class away from him is a waste of a great teacher. It's hard to find teachers that put half of the effort that Mr. Tufo puts into his class, and I strongly encourage you to reconsider this decision to take away Pre-Calculus from Mr. Tufo.

Mr. Tufo, while not my absolute favourite teacher, is special. He deserves to teach precalc BECAUSE he forces us to think straight and challenges us with learning in his class. I hope that he gets to teach more precalc, so that more people will excel in their calculus classes and college
Tufo is the most qualified to teach pre calc from his 20+ years of experience of not only teaching students pre calc material, but also pre calc in general
I can honestly say that Mr. Tufo is the best teacher I ever had and most likely the best teacher I will ever have. He is so devoted to the education and well-being of every single one of his students. I looked forward to Pre-Calc everyday and I believe it's truly a shame that the class was taken away from him. Mr. Tufo deserves his class back!
Mr. Tufo was the best math teacher I ever had. The per Calculus course was a very rigorous course and I know may teachers that would have given up on teaching such difficult subject. Tufo not only taught this class but he made it one that every student will remember. Please give this course back to Mr Tufo.
I had Mr. Tufo for algebra 2, and again for pre-calculus, and I can remember how excited he was my freshman year when he learned he was going to be teaching precalc the next year. To take his classes away after only two years isn't right. He is a wonderful math teacher and I owe all my success in AP calculus to him

I agree I am a parent and was looking forward to having my daughter take his pre calc class. Being a business person I understand how supply and demand works when matching resources with needs but leadership should consider the value of loyalty and dedication as a qualitative factor in making decisions. Change is necessary but there's got to be a compromise when it comes to keeping dedicated teachers motivated . Thank you
