One of the Arab world great educators should be commemorated for all of the great work that he has done. I for one will not be the person I am now if it wasn't for him. Naming a street would a small payment for the generations that he had educated.

Mr Haddad is a beacon of education in Beirut and has propelled me and many of my friends at Rawdah High School in the 1970s to a rich life academically and personally. I plead with you to commemorate his deeds with the highest honors you can bestow on him. Thank you. Dr. Ajam.

He did set some tough standards but not in the right way.I didn't get along with him and many of us had issues, his team got a way with many things because the formal institutions were weak. He still did a great job, the old fashion way, in building a smarter generation.

Ms. Haddad educated generations of Lebanese, during times of war, while personally financing the well being and ensuring the success of a multitude. I myself was one person who studied with a scholarship. I am eternally grateful.

He was an excellent teacher but more than that he isolated the school from all political pressures during the civil war and allowed all students get a good education with little religious and political distractions. I love the man.
