I know many older people that don't have internet. Not fair to leave them out....unless you don't want informed Canadians.

Letting Harper set the agenda and lead everyone by the nose does not show leadership.

Do not allow Harper to continue to change the rules that are only for the purpose of weakening our democracy and tipping the scales in his favour.

Please do not take part in the debate that Harper wants but the Consortium debate with the other leaders. And please don't use the Consortium debate to tear apart the other leaders but to present your platform in a respectful way. Don't play into Harper's hand in this. Show your true stuff by giving Canadians a fair view of the debate.

I am one of many that live in a rural community and unable to receive "Power and Politics", legislature debates etc...etc...A debate would be keenly observed in the Northern latitudes if it were available,

The debates are for Canadian public not for personal interests. All Leaders must be present at the debates, inexcusable for Harper to manipulate this event that is for the voter! Boycott this Mulcair,Trudeau and May to let him debate himself or show up!

as someone who has over the air TV, I would most likely be unable to listen in. Also, I think it sets a dangerous precedent. The organization of these debates should be set by a nonpartisan group. Finally, were Harper not have any opposition at "his" debates, he'd look pretty arrogant and foolish.

Boycott Harper's chosen debates. Let him debate himself in the boutique debates. Please do not participate in Harper's game. Then if he does not show up for the major debates, he will be shown as the turkey he is.

If Harper is not willing to debate fairly and to the widest national audience then let him debate with himself in shame and look like a clown.

Splitting the vote does not do the NDP or the Libs any good. Boutique debates serves only the CONs. Please re-think your position.

These debates have been a Canadian tradition since the 1960's. Please do not play along with Mr. Harpers incorrect approach to politics. You're better than that. Or so I thought.

I made my Facebook comments before reading this article and said exactly the same. Please please DO NOT fall for his games. I know you can debate the shit out of him...but you know that is all he will say anyway..BULLSHIT. Harper is acting like a childish dictator as usual. DON'T LET HIM DICTATE THIS ELECTION. He will look the fool not you. And I think Trudeau is right to be gun shy. DON"T DO IT! DON"T DO IT! DON"T DO IT! PLEASE
