We must reform our criminal justice system so that innocent people do not go to jail.

On behalf of Ernest Joyner an innocent intellectual man who should not be incarcerated for this crime. He has so much to offer society and can inspire other young men to walk the right path.

On behalf of my uncle Ernest Joyner I am signing this petition because I know he could have not committed a crime of this nature. My uncle is a very compassionate and loving person with so much o offer society. I say this because despite his incarceration he has proven to be a leader that exemplifies good work ethics and determination. I always let him know that he inspire me to aim for my dreams no matter what.

At 18 years of age who actually can be held accountable for their actions. It has been scientifically proven that the mind does not develop until later in life. At 42 Mr. Joyner seems like he has learned his lesson.

Ernest is my first cousin. We come from a family that is strong in the Lord. Ernest's mother was a woman much given to prayer and worship of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. She always kept her children before the Lord. Ernest has always been a very loving and cheerful person from his early childhood until now. I am very impressed with how much he has matured during his incarceration. He has truly bloomed where he is planted. There are many young men who have their physical freedom, but are bound by unemployment, and many other factors that hinder them from meeting their fullest potential. Ernest has accomplished more while being incarcerated than many on the outside. His ambition would truly be a blessing to other young men if he were granted clemency. He would be able to mentor young men, and encourage them to pursue their goals and avoid crime and imprisonment. His freedom would benefit society. Please assist my cousin Ernest in getting his case presented to the president to be considered for clemency. His freedom would be appreciated by our family and a benefit to society.

I sign this petition on behalf of my brother Ernest Joyner. It pains me to see my innocent love one deprived of his freedom for 23 years. Being raised with him I know his character first hand and I can attest that he is a man of many God-given talents. What's really impressive is that despite his incarceration, he has proven to be determined in accomplishing his goals. Not only making strides to gain his freedom, but meanwhile with his own hands and imagination created a luxury handbag business. Words cannot explain how very proud I am of him. I truly believe that my brother is innocent and justice will be served on his behalf. I am confident through much prayer and faith that he will get the clemency he is striving to obtain. As his sister I will support his efforts because I know he is worthy of achieving anything he sets his mind to. I love and miss you brother and like I've always told you, keep your head up high and never giving up on your dreams.

I'm more then blessed to see the improvement of my nephew, Ernest. Our family and society would really benefit from having him out of prison to make his contribution to society.
