Mr Ellis, I should and will support a proposal that I believe at this time to be the best option. It is being resubmitted and I have laid serious complaints to Arun over its inept handling of this matter (inept, at the very least).

A councillor is meant to be the pillar of the community. Listening to the public and conveying their concerns to council. Not a one man band telling the public what to do. Whatever party he stands for he is a disgrace to them. Not only Facebook. Read the newspapers. Plus Arun Councils comments.

The Poll will be ignored by me. Also, I am perfectly entitled to support the Sir Richard Hotham Project development, it is my view it represents the best way for the Town, there is a law to ensure I declare my interest if/when it is debated at the Town Council, and the application is being resubmitted, that's public knowledge.
I've submitted a complaint to Arun re the action of its Leader in misleading the Council and the public over related matters, it will be investigated.
The money for the Poll will come from a fund kept by BR Town Council (BRTC) for elections and polls which cannot be used otherwise. The recent 3 by-elections will cost more and were wholly unnecessary and caused by certain Town Cllrs trying to wreck the Picturedrome 4th screen project. Arun has not even billed BRTC for the elections last May, and I have worked out it should not cost more than £10k and was hugely overstaffed.
The Poll was conducted according to the law of England, if people think that law needs changing they should tell their MP.
BRTC and the other 5 parishes were offered a post card poll to keep the costs down and so all 31k homes in the Bognor urban area could be reached - BRTC agreed £2200, Pagham Parish Council said no, the other 4 did not bother to respond though BRTC asked me to contact them. BRTC withdrew the funding. 3 Electors meetings supported my view which I put as an elector that we need one Town Council for all of Bognor, not 6 parish-elevl councils, and that Arun should be abolished. The blame for this Poll is on them for not wanting local electors a say in how we are governed. Either, as an elector, I let them walk all over the electors of the town, or a group of electors called the Poll which they did after agreeing 3 motions from me at the Town Electors Meeting in March.
The Poll was called early by Nigel Lynn, returning officer, on the basis there is an election for the Police Commissioner 5 May and the EU referendum late June.

A huge amount of money wasted and excuses made constantly about where the money has gone! £20,000 wasted on a poll that no one knew about! Mr Cosgrove has belittled and berated me personally online and constantly is rude to anyone who disagrees with him. Time for him to step down!
