The Colts placed their franchise tag on Manning on February 15, 2011. On July 30, 2011, the Colts signed Manning to a 5 year, $90 million contract after negotiations in which he made it clear that he did not need to be the highest-paid player in the NFL. After a setback in his recovery from a May 23 neck surgery, on September 7, 2011 the Colts officially ruled Manning out for the season. With the Colts having the #1 pick in the 2012 Draft they will presumably pick his successor. Peyton needs to be able to mold and mentor him to take over The House That Peyton Built. We need to try to get as many signature as possible before that March 8th deadline to Mr. Irsay. A true fan will support him anywhere he goes, but we all know we want to see him stay in Indianapolis; and retire a Colt.

Keep him! Draft Luck and let Peyton teach him for a few years. It is the only sensible way to handle this transition.

My kids grew up watching him. It wouldnt feel like the same team without him in a Colts jersey. Please Jim dont let him go.

Total joke if they cut him. He gave everything to this city.

Pay the man. The stadium would be empty without 18.
