One of the best teachers my daughter had. Mr. Calvillo helped her become the person she is today by pushing her to get involved in activities and clubs outside of class. Thank you Mr. Calvillo for being a part of my daughter's life.

Mr. Calvillo has always been an inspiring and motivating teacher. I've known him for 6 years and had him as a teacher for 2 years. I was his skills USA president and I learned so much with his guidance and aspirations. He took care of me and the rest of his students as if we were his children. He always wanted us to succeed in every aspect of our lives. He taught us life philosophies and gave us the best education he possibly can for each and everyone of us. He has always been a fair teacher. He led everyone in the right path and because of him I am where I am today in life.

Mr. Calvio is an amzaing teacher who had nothing but love and care for his students. Never has he ever offended me or made me feel uncomfortable. I say he stays!

Good Teacher

Mr. Joseph Calvillo is more than an educator, Mr Calvillo is a man who inspires his students and sees the true potential in them. Many teachers go to school and teach you the fundamentals; math, science, english but Calvillo goes to school and teaches his students how to dream. He not only helps his students by introducing them to SkillsUSA he also helps in many other forms by helping them get job interviews, or writing recommendation letters for college. I am a former student of Mr. Calvillo and I can honestly say that without him as an instructor WISD will be losing a valuable asset. I had the privilege of having Calvillo as a SKILLSUSA advisor for 4 years and thoughout those years Calvillo changed my life for the better. I used to be a shy individual but Calvillo helped me, motivated me and showed me that I could gain the courage to speak infront of people. Thanks to the great impact he made in my life I chose to study broadcast journalism in college, I graduated and now work for KRGV. This was something I had always dreamed of but thought it would never happen because I didn't have faith in myself. Mr. Calvillo gave me that faith and showed me that my dreams could come true. Calvillo has been like a father figure to me and I know for a fact that he is being fasely accused. I would like the WISD school board to know that Mr. Joseph Calvillo is an honorable man and deserves to keep his job. Without him as an instructor at WISD many current and future students will not have someone to inspire them and motivate them. Mr. Joseph Calvillo deserves to keep his job.

Mr. Calvillo is the best teacher I've had. He helped me break out of my shell and participate in different clubs. Words cannot express how grateful I am for the things he's helped me accomplish in my high school career.

Calvillo help me get a job and without him I wouldn't be as successful as a student. He was always there for every student and helped everyone with the problems they had.

He's an awesome teacher, he gave me the knowledge and helped me develop the skill I needed as an adult to achieve my goals and be a successful as an adult!

I really don't know why they wouldn't want to renew his contract but all I have to say about Mr. Calvillo is that he is an extraordinary man and teacher. He has absolutely gone beyond for his students and really cares about them. He takes the time to get to know them. It's very rare when you find a teacher that actually cares. Most teachers just do their job, teach. Mr. Calvillo is way more than just a teacher. I hope that this small message and all the other ones help change your mind. Thank you.

If you guys only knew why he is under suspension. It's disgusting that he looks down on teacher for the things he's done himself.
