Disappointed and confused. Mr. Allen has been a constant in our 10 years at Duschesne. His friendly demeanor and positive attitude were always welcome. He was an embodiment of the DASH community. I hope that this gets resolved quickly so that the healing can begin and we can return to the great sense of family that is the Sacred Heart tradition. Mr. Allen you are constantly in our thoughts.

If there is ONE person who would absolutely remember me at that school, it would be Allen. In fact, he would recognize myself, my car, my parents, and both of my parents' car. He was always there for both myself and my family, and it would be an absolute shame and disgrace if he was ever replaced. He has guarded our wonderful school for years; and it should remain the same for as long as he is employed at duchesne. Honestly, if I could bet on anyone remembering who I was at duchesne, what I drove, and who my family was...it would be Allen. He was our watchdog and will forever be. Whatever the administration decides, just remember it will effect DASH's personal reputation, respect and alumni network in both myself and my family's perspective. Allen kept DASH safe, and he should always keep our school safe. If you move him from his position, it will definitely affect my view of the administration and make me think twice about sending any of my future kids there. I have 3 siblings who didn't go to duchesne, but Allen made them feel apart of the loving DASH family. So, I urge the administration to think twice about their decision. Duchesne is known for not only its high academics, but also about their personal and intimate relationships with students and their family. Don't ever forget that. Protect us and make the only smart decision...to keep Allen where he knows best-- protecting the duchesne family. Thanks, Sarah Neyland

We, as the supporters of Mr. Allen, need to keep pressure on the administration. We should send daily emails, call persistently, and leave voicemails EVERY DAY until we get ANSWERS.

Hello Ms. Swenson, How is the thoughtful and prayerful consideration coming along? Maybe you could share with us what you are considering. I do not think you were nearly as surprised by his "reassignment" as you are by how much we genuinely care about the man.

Ms Swenson does what Peggy Hennessey tells her to do. After all, she got her the job. Hennessey started by getting Jan Dunn removed, and it's been one terrible decision after another since. I believe this is her last year as president of the board.

I would love to see Mr. Allen back or at least a reasonable explanation for his dismissal.

I spent 8 years at Duchesne. Mr. Allen was always there to bring a smile to your face and to make sure that everyone stayed safe. He is a true member of the Duchesne family.

It made my day when I would see Mr. Allen making funny faces and telling jokes as I was dropped off at school. I tried my best to say "Hi" to him every day when he was here and now I can't do that anymore. I MISS YOU MR. ALLEN AND I WANT YOU BACK AT DUCHESNE.

This is the first I've heard of anyone having the site info, let alone reading it or caring about the many, many issues. It's fine to say that but the administration has failed to relay that to the community. I really don't see a lot of negative comments, just many truths about the past few years coming out little by little. Those truths may be undesirable but that is not the fault of those speaking them. Nor should those voices be silenced because some find them unsavory. You do realize you're asking us to trust in some alleged "process" run by an individual arrogant enough to send out that "Informational" email along with some individuals who have shown nothing but support for her decisions? That's rather frightening!! Trust was lost with the dismissal of Mr. Allen, that it was swept under the rug and the poor communication (and lack of communication) that followed. Because we are fighting an uphill battle, we must persist. "First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win."

As a DASH Alumn and mother, I am aghast and in complete disbelief at the ARROGANCE and DISRESPECT of this administration towards the Duchesne Families and Students. I was not aware that the Headmistress of the School was not accountable to the Duchesne Community. This serious breach of trust and abuse of power could have easily been avoided by Ms. Swenson. I do believe that they are hoping that with time, all will be forgotten and back to normal. I urge all of us to take a stand, demand an HONEST explanation and have this wrong done right. I have been a firm supporter of Duchesne since 1979, but I cannot continue to financially support a management team that disregards so bluntly the community that they have been hired to serve. Sadly, and I do hope I am wrong, this new administration is more concerned with their egos than doing the right thing. A sign of a true leader is to admit any wrong doings and to correct the mistakes made. Again, all of this heartache can be fixed by Ms. Swenson stepping up to the plate and giving us the courtesy of an HONEST and TRUE explanation.

Dear Duchesne Ladies, I have been a part of Duchesne since I was 4. Duchesne is a big part of my life, and Mr. Allen was one of the biggest parts, too. His sudden departure was NOT an appropriate reaction to the situation that took place, and I am telling the Duchesne ladies to RISE UP AND TAKE ACTION!! ONE DAY, WE ALL WALK OUT OF CLASS AND SIT BY THE OAK TREE AND PRAY FOR MR. ALLEN'S RETURN. WE WILL REFUSE TO GO TO CLASS AND PRAY AND PRAY AND PRAY FOR MR. ALLEN. BRING HIM BACK!!

Could we please turn down the negativity? I can assure you that the Board has this site address, as does Ms. Swenson and a whole bunch of other people including our children, the news media and many families deciding on a school for next year. Please try to give the process some time and be gentle in the things you say. Be the change you want to see.

Hi Mr. Allen--You must know that we love you and we are trying so hard in so many ways to get you back. What they did to you was totally unacceptable and truly evil--you are the heart and soul of Duchesne and it is not the same place without you! Everyone misses you and wants you back, especially the girls. We are working to make the administration reconsider and I am hoping that we will be welcoming you back home soon. It is because of the great love you have and give that you are so loved. Please don't ever change. Take care and stay strong. Mrs. Gleaves--I had no idea what they did to you. When I read your post I was sickened. I noticed in Sept that you weren't at morning carpool and when I asked around no one seemed to know what happened. What they did to you is unconscionable. My daughter Mimi loved you so much--even if she felt that she wasn't good at something in PE you always made her feel good about herself. You were such an asset to Duchesne and if you are working now that school is so lucky to get you. I hope you are doing well. We miss you. MS Administrators--Please do not discipline the girls for their support of Mr. Allen. The signs on their lockers and in the halls are an appropriate and respectful response to a situation that affects every one of them. Please do not underestimate Mr. Allen's positive influence on them or their love for him. These small acts of civil disobedience are the only tools they have to express themselves in a situation where they have no power. Duchesne Administrators--Please realize that Mr. Allen embodies the SH goals better than anyone on campus, and that this situation is teaching our girls as much as if not more about SH and Christianity than all the classroom instruction they receive. Mr. Allen truly puts the heart in Sacred Heart! Please do the right thing and right this error. It's not too late. Please bring Mr. Allen back.
